Bob Dylan recently released the original mono recordings of his first 7 albums. He also released The Witmark Demos, a 2-disc, 47-song collection of unreleased songs he recorded in the early ’60s. Of course, you already know all this because you bought all of these for me for Christmas.
But what you may not know is that that there is a conspiracy afoot to phase out mono recordings and make stereo the only available option. But, as the following video shows, stereo sound is dangerous. It’s full of “false syllogisms” and other such “flim-flam.” Stereo deceives your brain, and could soon mean that record companies start charging over $3.50 for an LP! So take back your record player! Listen with your brain, not your ears! Get with the times! Resist the stereo scam!
I don’t know about you, but I’m sticking with mono.
P.S. Yes, I’m aware of the pun considering my current state of health.
