After searching for several months in the used bins, I finally found a copy of Beck’s Sea Change (2002). Produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead), it’s a break up album, but the kind that you can listen to anytime, even if you’re happily married. The album has a patient, unhurried vibe, with an array of instruments brought in as needed. Here is “The Golden Age,” the lead-off track and one of my favourites. It’s perfect for a summer Sunday.
